With its sophisticated C:62® carbon frame and rigid carbon fork, the CUBE Kathmandu Hybrid C:62 SLX 400X has the same rugged appeal as its illustrious forbears, but with a new focus on lower weight.

A lighter touring bike means you can take more with you, but low weight is no good without strength. That’s why, for the Kathmandu Hybrid C:62, CUBE used their tried-and-tested C:62® carbon to build a frame structure that combines load-bearing capacity with comfort and ride handling.

With a future-proof UDH gear hanger, advanced internal cable routing and Boost front and rear axles, it’s both elegant and easy to live with. The rigid carbon fork on this electric hybrid is light and responsive, while the rear carrier accepts a multitude of CUBE’s ‘click-on’ luggage. Add the 400Wh battery, and it’s the complete package for lightweight hybrid touring.

Pedal faster, pick up speed even faster: The Performance Line SX works at least as hard as you do. It has a reduced pedal resistance of more than 50 percent compared to the Performance Line CX, a narrower design of the cranks and an almost silent motor.

At around just 2kg, the Performance Line SX is Bosch’s lightest drive with the highest power density. Likewise, it reduces the total weight of your eBike, delivers greater agility and is ideal for fans of a sporty riding style. In addition, the compact drive unit disappears elegantly into the crank area so it looks like a conventional bike.

Bosch’s new SMART SYSTEM features on the CUBE Kathmandu Hybrid C:62, with a Kiox 500 display sitting centrally on the bars. It provides access to all power levels at the push of a button. It’s colour background is easy to read. Also, it displays the charge status of the battery and other metrics.

High Quality Components

Shimano Deore BR-M6100 2-piston brakes tame the bike when required and act responsively and effectively. Gearing is via a Shimano Deore 12-speed system for durability and smooth changing. The wide range 11-51T cassette mean easy hill climbing no matter the incline.

A set of Schwalbe G-ONE Overland, SuperGround, Kevlar tyres ensure low rolling resistance and optimise treadwear and traction. They’re puncture resistant too!

How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?

An electric bike’s frame size is calculated by measuring the distance from the top of the seat tube (where the seat post inserts), to the centre of the front chainring. Sizing Guide
