NON-BOSCH SX Motor

Mahle

Alternatives to the BOSCH SX motor are primarily the Mahle motor found on both Specialized and ORBEA eBikes.

The Specialized bikes use a modified Mahle on the crank, and the ORBEA uses a rear hub motor system.

These motors produce around 35Nm of torque.

German company FAZUA produce a lightweight 60Nm crank motor, examples of which are the UBN range of eBikes from Riese & Muller.
