The minimalist and slimline design of the UBN Five is breathtaking. It boasts a contemporary linear frame design that perfectly integrates the Fazua drive system. The optimum positioning of the motor and battery within the frame add to the already highly pleasing aesthetics. The battery is chargeable both on and off the bike.

Lightweight

Weighing just 19.5kg, The UBN range of ebikes are one of our lightest. At around 6kg LESS than the competition, this is indeed a lighter and more nimble ebike to ride. Barely recognisable as a bike with electric power, the Riese & Müller UBN Five Touring is an ebike that delivers. The combination of a strong and silent Fazua 60 drive system and 430Wh battery ensures smooth power delivery and a helping hand when needed.

The engine offers more than enough torque, peaking at 60Nm. It’s ideal for commuting and leisure riding. Simple and efficient. Additionally, if required the UBN Five can also be easily ridden without pedalling resistance, even without assistance.

Minimalist Cockpit

The well-arranged cockpit focuses on riding enjoyment, making operation an after-thought. Simply use the Ring Control on the left of the bars to select the riding mode. The coloured LEDs in the LED hub in the top tube display the selected mode and the charge level. An SP Connect port is integrated on the stem to use a smartphone, which can be charged by a USB-C cable.

Tailor-made for the Urban Jungle

With the Riese & Müller UBN Five Touring you’re ideally set up for urban riding. The minimalist pannier rack is ideal for attaching panniers to the bike, enabling you to securely stow away your laptop and documents. How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?

An electric bike’s frame size is calculated by measuring the distance from the top of the seat tube (where the seat post inserts), to the centre of the front chainring. Sizing Guide
