A beautifully crafted Carbon frame ensures a nimble yet strong performance.
The KTM Macina Kapoho Master combines uncompromising power with unprecedented connectivity. The 5th generation of the Bosch Performance Line CX motor provides unrivalled power at the bottom bracket. The Bosch CX Gen.5 is characterised by 85Nm, up to 600W of pedal assistance and easy pedalling above 25 km/h. In addition, pairing with the 800Wh Intube battery (removable, of course) means that the Kapoho Master is perfect for endless trail fun.
TRP A12 12-speed Electronic Shifting
TRP says the system allows the rider to focus more on the trail or road ahead and less on what gear the rider is in. We couldn’t agree more.
The new TRP A12 (1×12 speed) drivetrain has been designed for use with electric bikes that use Bosch’s Performance Line CX and SX motors. Manual and automatic modes are available, with the latter allowing the the cranks to spin at a consistent cadence whatever the load or speed. The drivetrain centres around the A12 ebike-specific rear derailleur, which is then paired with varying shifting components depending on the type of riding.
In addition, the system takes advantage of Bosch’s updated eShift system which sees the drive motor momentarily reduce support during gear changes for crisper shifts and les mechanical wear. Notably, the system also implements Auto-Downshift, which automatically shifts down the cassette when coming to a stop to give you the optimum gear to set off again.
Also, the TRP setup has a ‘Roll Shift’ feature which measures the riders rolling speed while coasting and automatically changes gears to match the speed.
A Mullet Setup and Great Components
Using a mullet setup of 29″ on the front and 27.5″ on the rear, the Master performs on the most demanding terrain. Also, an energetic Bosch Performance CX drive in combination with a 800Wh battery give unmatched performance and range. Superb, decisive response is what the CX provides and drives through the roughest trails and downhills.
Fully equipped with a top end spec, the KTM Macina Kapoho Master means business!
At the heart of this rugged performer is a top notch full suspension system. On the front is a nice pair of FOX 36 Float 29″ Performance eBike forks with 160mm travel. On the rear is a FOX Float X Performance providing silky smooth travel. Furthermore, sporting superb grip and endurance at all times, a set of Maxxis Minion DHF 3C-MaxxTerra tyres keep the Kapoho Master on the straight and narrow. A really nice set of KTM Line – DT Swiss 370 CL wheels provide a strong and resilient base.
Braking is spot on and ultra responsive. Magura MT5, 4-piston hydraulic brakes on 203mm/180mm rotors ensure immense stopping power.
Bosch’s Purion 400 sits unobtrusively on the bars with a Mini Remote for actuation.
Bosch ConnectModule
Help prevent theft of your eBike with the Bosch ConnectModule that comes with the KTM Macina Kapoho Master.
The ConnectModule is a hardware component that mounts under the motor cover. This facilitates the use of the eBike Alarm service. It has motion sensors, a radio and GPS module and its own battery. Also, it can identify movements of the eBike and trigger a local alarm. Furthermore, the GPS module identifies the current position of the eBike and displays this in the eBike Flow app.
The stunning looks of the KTM Macina Kapoho Master exude quality and performance. Both are synonymous with KTM. The high level of components and electronic shifting makes this eMTB a real winner!
