MERIDA eONE-Eighty 400
The MERIDA eONE-Eighty 400 is Merida’s highly effective entry level 180mm travel eMTB. This beauty guarantees immense fun and delivers exceptional performance.
The eOne-Eighty is for the heavy hitters, bike park senders and big mountain brawlers. It’s ready to ride the biggest lines and burliest tracks and you can say goodbye to waiting in the uplift queue because it can rip and repeat all day long thanks to a 600Wh battery and 85Nm of Bosch CX power. Furthermore, the battery is removeable for easy charging off the bike. It’s MERIDA’s longest travel e-bike ever, with 180mm of suspension at either end on a robust aluminium frame. Add coil shock compatibility, mullet only setup plus a whole host of other features and getting rowdy is where the eOne-Eighty starts, not finishes.
There’s a serious amount of range on offer too, thanks to the new 600Wh battery and the option to add a 250Wh Bosch range extender. You can easily remove the battery for off-bike charging or replacement on a really big ride.
Bosch’s Purion 200 display provides all the necessary rider information at the touch of a button.
Perfect geometry. Perfect lines. A great set of components take the eONE-Eighty to dizzy heights. Designed for full off road, this gem of an eMTB provides serious performance.
Perfect Balance, Extraordinary Performance, Great Components
The SR Suntour Aion 38X Air forks are ultra responsive and highly capable. As a result, they gobble up almost anything thrown in front of them. Offering a huge 180mm of travel, the Aion’s are a great entry level fork with superb performance. On the rear is a very nice SR Suntour TRIAIR2 shock. Featuring a rebound and compression damper adjuster the TRIAIR2 offers huge flexibility and fine tuning. In addition, the piggyback comprises an air-backed internal floating piston system (IFP) which is easy to adjust.
Gearing on the MERIDA eONE-Eighty 400 is slick. A Shimano Cues 9-speed and 11-46T cassette work in perfect harmony. A Merida Team TR II tubeless ready wheelset prove tough, stable and reliable. Maxxis Assegai 29×2.5″ tyres are on the front, whilst the rear is taken care of by a Maxxis Minion DHR II 27.5×2.4″. Consequently, the result is superb maneuverability and grip, all in one. Shimano Shimano TC500 hubs finish off a high performing wheelset. Braking is highly effective, thanks to the Tektro Gemini M535 4-piston hydraulics, front and rear. They’re hugely responsive and offer both powerful and controllable braking.
Unlike many eMTBs, the MERIDA eONE-Eighty 400 comes with lights on both front and rear. Worthy of note is the Lezyne Hecto lamp on the front which strongly illuminates the path ahead in low light conditions.
A Merida Expert TR II dropper seatpost operates smoothly and precisely.
Enviable Aesthetics, Smooth Lines
The aesthetics of the MERIDA eONE-Eighty 400 are enviable. This is one seriously good looking eMTB! Internal cable routing has been perfected thanks to Merida’s ‘Smart Entry’ approach. Cables are routed internally, with clamping under tension. There’s no rattles or noise!
Ideal for those on a tight budget, the MERIDA eONE-Eighty 400 delivers above and beyond where others struggle.
