CUBE Compact Hybrid Comfort 500

The CUBE Compact Hybrid Comfort 500 is a 20″ wheel compact bike with 90º folding handlebars, designed for flexible urban mobility, or equally at home on the boat, caravan or motorhome. Cube’s fabulous and highly desirable small bike features Shimano Nexus 5-Speed hub gearing for exceptional hill climbing.

This little gem is a hop on and off treat for all. Highly maneuverable, the Compact is new from Cube and marks a landmark in development for them. It has an easy-to-adjust saddle and handlebar height, so the bike adapts quickly to rider size and preference. The result means that the Compact is ideal for a wide range of statures, and for both men and women alike. In addition, the extremely clever Speedlifter Twist handlebar stem mechanism allows a 90º turn of the bars in seconds for those very tight spaces.

How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?
