OVO Energy Womens Tour 2018, Stage 4: Evesham to Worcester
The very picturesque route of Stage 4 from Evesham to Worcester is 130km in total (just over 80 miles). It takes place this coming Saturday 16th June, with Stage 5 concluding the event in Colwyn Bay, North Wales. The previous stages have already pushed these amazing athletes to their limits in what has been a captivating and hugely enjoyable several days.
Evesham
On the banks of the River Avon lies the historic market town of Evesham. Surrounded by stunning countryside and rolling hills, this town is a popular with visitors throughout the year.
This beautiful town now uses its rich fertile soil to grow protected Vale of Evesham asparagus, as well as many other fruit and vegetables in the surrounding area. Visitors at the start of this stage will be treated to street and bike entertainment and healthy activities. Known for its culinary delights, Evesham offers a wealth of fine places to eat with something for everyone.
Worcester City
The historic city of Worcester is located in the Heart of England (and home to OnBike Electric Bikes of course!))
Worcester features some of the country’s best loved retailers and restaurants as well as a host of unique independent businesses. There’s something here for everyone, of all ages!
This enticing city is ideal for travel by bike, with a number of routes to choose from, including Sustrans recommended ones too. It’s easy to cross the river thanks to a stunning bridge over the River Severn. The city not only has a famous river running through it but also the Worcester & Birmingham Canal. It has a fully cycleable towpath and offers a scenic route through industrial heritage and picturesque countryside. In addition, there are various cycle routes, all signposted and well-maintained within the city centre and beyond.
